Ljupco “Louie” Andjelkovski (December 3rd, 1950) passed, in peace and surrounded by love, on September 16th, 2023 in Amherstburg, Ontario. He is predeceased by his parents Borika and Stojan Andjelkovski and tragically, only recently by his elder brother, Jovan/Jordan. He is the beloved partner of 25 years to his love Grace (Rajka) Zec and is forever cherished by her daughter Adrianna and is survived by his loving children Valentino and Daniela (Doug) Symons and grandchildren Amelia (Aaron Giganic) and Collin. He will be missed by his entire family including the family of his recently passed elder brother +Jordan (Ilinka) Andjelkovski and younger brother Petko (Sonja) Andjelkovski. He is the beloved Čičko and Dedo to his nieces and nephews and their children: Daniel (Ariana and Jovan), Daniela (Nebojša Krstevski; Nickolas & Diana), Christina (Giovanni and Domenico), Kristifor (Ray), and Bora (Darko Todorovski: Aiden, Alijana, and Ava).
Louie was born in Varvara, Macedonia and grew up in Lešok. He came to Canada at the age of 20, with a determination to work hard and succeed. He did so, working many years at Chrysler and eventually as the long-time proprietor of Maple Leaf restaurant. Louie helped many and was simply a great and generous man. He was loved by his patrons and all those who worked with, and for, him. He was a fierce soccer player and found a love of golf later in life, making lifelong friends through both. Louie would do anything for his family and friends and his warm and generous spirit were often accompanied by Louie’s signature honesty. You always knew where you stood with Louie as he was a man of conviction and his absence will be brutally felt by all the lives he has touched.

Louie was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Multiple Myeloma and he faced this devastating disease with the determination that helped him to overcome many of the obstacles that life presented to him. He was assisted in this fight by the caring staff of the Windsor Regional Cancer Center and we send many thanks to Dr. Woldie and his team as well as the staff of the 4th floor at Metropolitan. When no more could be done, Louie’s desire was to live out the rest of his time at home, surrounded by his loved ones. This was only possible through the tireless care provided by his beloved family, in particular Grace, Valentino, and Adrianna, as well as the exceptional staff of St. Elizabeth’s. We are humbled by the tremendous care he was given by all, but wanted to particularly acknowledge Dr. Bergeron, Amanda, and Gerlie.
